COVID won't stop ESM!

My name and Gemma, I'm 22 and I'm from Sydney, Australia. I have a tendency to act spontaneously and so I decided to do something a bit out of the ordinary - dedicating a year of my life to grow in relationship with God by serving others... and simultaneously making a blog.

I'm the second youngest of six and I'm just an ordinary girl with a bit of fire in the belly to make the most of what life has to offer...

One of the greatest blessings I have received in my life is to understand how short life really is. It has completely changed how I live my life and it continues to remind me to make the most of every day.

I'm not the type to be vulnerable online but I think this journey of mine is something that a lot of people are really curious to know more about because it is a pretty radical thing to do and I hope to inspire others to do something out of the ordinary with their own lives; or at least enjoy watching the unfolding of my mission year.

The Emmanuel School of Mission runs entirely off the donations from generous sponsors. Even though we have all been sent home our house in the Bronx still needs its rent and maintenance covered.

If not, we are at risk of losing the house, which will lead to the closing down of ESM New York.
